POSITION SUMMARY :

Incoming inspection enhancement (Electronic, mechanical tools & equipment and system development) for IQC department .

RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Generate AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) programming on machine for IQC to conduct the inspection.
  • Maintaining operating tools and equipment for consistent and accurate results.Ensure tools and equipment used in IQC lab is in good working order.
  • Develop IQC inspection from simple metrology tools with more precise equipment and guiding IQC inspector to improve the capability on inspection.
  • Documenting, compiling, interpreting and reporting quality control analytics data (IQC inspection results, first article etc).
  • Updating and developing quality control operating procedures.
  • Monitor and highlighted IQC rejection (PCBA, cable assembly, components, hybrid) to IQC engineer for further drive SQE into supplier improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Support improvement project on IQC operation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Location : Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.
  • Works in a ESD compliance IQC lab environment.
  • Works in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Overtime may be necessary in times to meet target set.

    • QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Ability to perform and deliver AOI or CMM programming will be added avantage.
  • Ability to read and understand quality specification, engineering document such as drawing / Reference Manual / working instruction and etc.
  • Skills of using IQC tools and equipment for inspection (caliper,gauges,multimeter etc, ability of operate precise equipment such as AOI ,profile projector or CMM will be added advantage).
  • Basic understanding on IPC electronic requirements.
  • PC skills, can properly make routing report with MS office tools (With advance MS office skill will be added advantage).
  • Knowledge and understanding of ESD practices.
  • Basic knowledge of ISO9001, and ISO14001.
  • Have good team work spirit.
  • Good communication skills and able to communicate and report the issues to senior technician / Supplier Quality Engineer (IQC) clearly.

    • EXPERIENCE :

  • Minimum 5 year of electronic product manufacturing quality inspection experiences, or proper education background without any work experience, or show very potential positive trend for quality inspector working if without any work experience.

    • EDUCATION :

  • Technical school or Diploma or a related field, or equivalent education and / or experience.
