Group General Counsel

We are partnering with a leading player in the manufacturing sector to appoint a General Counsel based in Kuala Lumpur. The company is a well-regarded market leader in its product segment, with a long-standing reputation for excellence and innovation. This is a senior leadership position that will play a critical role in supporting the company's continued growth and operational integrity across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities :

• Serve as the chief legal advisor to the CEO, Board, and senior management team on all legal and regulatory matters.
• Lead and manage the legal function, including a small team of in-house counsel and external legal partners.
• Oversee and advise on a broad range of legal matters, including :
• General corporate and commercial issues
• Contract negotiation and review across the supply chain and customer base
• Transactional matters, including M&A and strategic partnerships
• Litigation and dispute management
• Regulatory, compliance, and risk-related issues
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including operations, finance, procurement, and human resources.
• Ensure the company operates within the legal and regulatory frameworks across relevant jurisdictions.
• Provide strategic legal input while maintaining a hands-on, solutions-driven approach to day-to-day operations.
• Support corporate governance and Board matters as needed.
