Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting
Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all entities within the group.
Prepare and manage general ledger entries, journal postings, monthly closing, and full set of accounts.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and bank reconciliations.
Handle intercompany transactions and ensure timely balance sheet reconciliations.
Manage accounts payable / receivable and ensure prompt invoicing and payment cycles.
Process payroll and statutory contributions in compliance with local regulations.
Cash Flow & Payment Management
Monitor and manage daily cash flow, including preparing weekly / monthly cash flow forecasts.
Administer online banking platforms and coordinate authorization workflows for payments.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments, including fund transfers and expense claims.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including SST, corporate tax, income tax, and SSM filings.
Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries on audit, tax filing, and corporate submissions.
Maintain proper documentation to support audit readiness and financial integrity.
Assist in drafting financial-related reports and board papers as required.
Corporate Finance & Strategic Support
Support investment evaluations, fund structuring, and capital allocation analysis.
Prepare financial projections, business cases, and budgeting models for internal reviews.
Assist in due diligence, deal support, and reporting for fundraising or capital market activities.
Provide financial insights and risk analysis to support strategic decisions by the Board and Management.
Systems, Processes & Controls
Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs and internal controls across finance functions.
Identify and implement system enhancements or workflow improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Support cross-functional teams on budgeting, forecasting, and cost monitoring.
Requirements
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience in accounting, preferably in an SME or multi-entity setup.
Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and Malaysian financial regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SQL Accounting).
Strong attention to detail, reliability, and integrity in handling financial data.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and work independently with minimal supervision.
