Job Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing refinery operations to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. The role involves troubleshooting process issues, improving unit performance, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Working closely with operations, maintenance, and technical teams, the Process Engineer contributes to maximizing plant yield, energy efficiency, and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Verify and process material report upon production completed.
Establish and maintain process documentation, such as SOPs and work instructions to meet product quality and food safety requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to processes, equipment or materials.Support the routine production activities to maintain smooth and efficient operations as and when necessary.Process ImprovementPerform data analysis and statistical analysis to monitor process performance and identify areas for improvement.
Develop and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity and quality.Project ManagementCollaborate with suppliers and vendors to evaluate and select equipment or materials for process implementation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes and technologies.Quality Assurance and Quality ControlEnsuring that production procedures align with established quality and food safety standards, such as FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP or ISO certification requirements.
Working closely with quality assurance, food safety teams, and other departments to address and resolve any quality or safety issues that arise.Training and DevelopmentTrain and mentor team members on new processes, equipment and / or techniques.
Cultivate a disciplined, skilled, and motivated production team through training and development initiatives.Address and resolve issues and complaints related to production and storage.Safeguarding Occupational, Food Safety and HealthInteract with inter-departmental and team workers to ensure safe operations and observe environmental laws and regulations.
Uphold occupational health and safety standards for workers.Food Safety ReportingReporting any food safety issues or concerns in the workplace to your superior.
Adhoc AssignmentPerform other duties as assigned by Management from time to time.
Qualifications and Experiences
Education : Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or other equivalent.Skills : Possess knowledge in Microsoft Office.Experience : Preferably 1 to 2 years of working experience in palm oil refinery or related field.Training : Attended ISO 9001 / FSSC 22000, MSPO and RSPO Supply Chain Management training.Perks and Benefits
