Job Description

The Account Executive is responsible for managing the company’s finance operation comprises collection and payment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payment, Billing & Invoicing

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices accurately and on time based on contracts, delivery orders, or service completion.
  • Verify billing or invoices data, supporting documents, and approval before issuance or payment.
  • Maintain billing schedules and ensure completeness of monthly billings.
  • Reconcile billed revenue against supporting reports or project data.

2. Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) Management

  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments and follow up on outstanding balances.
  • Update and maintain AR / AP aging reports regularly.
  • Communicate with clients on billing discrepancies and resolve disputes promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (sales, operations, project) to support collection efforts.
  • Prepare monthly AR reports and collection summaries for management review.
  • Assist in monthly closing activities including AR reconciliation and revenue validation.
  • Ensure proper documentation and filing of all invoices and receipts.

    • 3. Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure billing and collection activities comply with company policies and accounting standards.
  • Support external and internal audits by providing required documentation.
  • Recommend improvements to streamline billing and AR processes.

    • Requirements

  • Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Experienced in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients and internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.

    • Preferred Attributes

  • Experience in (industry, e.g., waste management, construction, service industry) is an advantage.
  • Familiar with contract-based billing and credit control management.
  • Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
