Software Engineer, R&D

Job Overview

You will be part of an agile team of 2-3 developers, participate in the enrichment of our web apps by adding priority features presented to the schedule by the Product Owner. You will work alongside with our R&D scrum teams and gain experience in the most cutting-edge technologies of our solutions.

Key Tasks

• Work in team to define user stories during the sprint
• Design and develop technically using JavaScript or TypeScript, ASP.NET
• Guarantee the quality and performance of your code by carrying out tests (manual, unit and automatic)
• Fix bugs reported by our Support teams
• Offer your opinion and iterate to evolve software, development tools (evolution of the stack, framework, continuous integration chain, architecture) and improve collaboration within your team and R&D
• Collaborate internally with different departments and able to share your passion with other developers (technical blog, meet-up, hackathons, Techdays, conferences..)

Experience and Skill Expected

• Proficient in at least one of our 3 main languages (Javascript, C#, C++). You are curious and you will be able to learn the other 2 with us
• It is a bonus to have back-end development knowledge in C#, C++, Javascript and mobile applications knowledge in Ionic, Cordova, Angular
• You will eventually be comfortable working with Javascript, TypeScript, C#, C++, HTML, CSS, Sass, ElasticSearch, Redis, PgSQL, Azure, Jenkins,…. and you can introduce us to new technologies
• Familiar with Agile principles and Scrum Methodology
• You are cross functional, i.e., able to write code, design, test, and produce technical documentation

Desired Requirement

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sceince, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
• A strong foundation in programming, algorithms, data structures, and mathematics (espceially linear algebra, calculus, and probabality)
• 3 – 5 years of experience (3–5 years) in AI/IT or software development, research, or related fields.
• A self-started who requires minimal direction or supervision, open-minded and collaborative
• Possess positive, attentive, passionate and patient attitude. Self-motivated/organized, independent & possess high sense of accountability.
• You are inquisitive, forthcoming with creative ideas and actively participate in the technological evolution of our products
• Continuous attention to technical excellence and good design
• View change positively, seek frequent feedback from customers to align and achieve optimal business value
• Always try to meet the requirements in the simplest manner
• Regularly reflect on how to do better & fine tune accordingly
• Proficiency in English is crucial, and additional languages such as Chinese, French etc are a plus.
