Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a team of maintenance technicians and staff, providing guidance, training, and supervision to ensure effective performance and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Participate in the performance improvement of plant equipment.
  • Control and optimize utilization of man-hour and spare parts.
  • Lead and implement maintenance schedules, strategies, and procedures to maximize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
  • Verify the monthly report of maintenance activities.
  • Conduct regular assessments of electrical systems to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences with the maintenance team.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to optimize the performance of electrical systems.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to maintenance teams during troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators for maintenance activities, such as equipment uptime, mean time between failures (MTBF), and mean time to repair (MTTR).
  • Use KPI data to continuously improve maintenance strategies and outcomes.
  • Implement energy management strategies to optimize the use of electrical resources and reduce energy consumption.
  • Interface with regulatory bodies to stay informed about changes in electrical codes and standards.
  • Lead the root cause analysis for recurring equipment failures, aiming to identify and eliminate underlying issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency enhancements, and cost savings in maintenance operations.
  • Respond to emergencies and breakdowns promptly, coordinating emergency repairs, and implementing contingency plans to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Analyze performance metrics related to maintenance, such as overall equipment effectiveness (OEE), and use data-driven insights for continuous improvement.

Cost Management

  • Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting expenses, tracking costs, and optimizing resources to achieve cost-effective maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to develop maintenance budgets.
  • Optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effective maintenance operations.
  • Project Management

  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and necessary modification and commissioning.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of spare parts and materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
  • Lead electrical and mechanical engineering projects, from conceptualization to implementation, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project specifications.
  • Lead the CAPEX project – define and verify job scope, develop business case, execute the project, and ensure the project follows the timeline.
  • Inventory Management

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of electrical assets, including equipment specifications and maintenance history.
  • Verify equipment documentation, including manuals and schematics.
  • People Management

  • Manage engineers and technicians’ tasks and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to procure parts, services, and support for maintenance activities.
  • Develop subordinates’ skills in maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to optimize workflows.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development programs.
  • Organizational Management

  • Ensure zero accidents in the work area and involve all plant activities.
  • HSE Management

  • Be aware of HSE policies and HSE objectives and targets.
  • Comply with HSE requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry codes related to maintenance activities.
  • Participate in HSE campaigns and site activities.
  • Conduct risk assessments for maintenance activities, identifying potential safety hazards.
  • Comply with 10 life-saving rules.
