Jadestone Energy is an independent oil and gas production company focused on the Asia Pacific region. In 2021, Jadestone acquired SapuraOMV’s assets in Peninsular Malaysia. These assets include interests in four licenses, two of which Jadestone has operated since the 2021 acquisition.
Outside of Malaysia, the Company has a 100% operated working interest in the Stag oilfield and in the Montara project, both offshore Australia. Both the Stag and Montara assets include oil producing fields, with further development and exploration potential.

Position Purpose
We are seeking a highly analytical and driven Corporate Planning Analyst to support strategic business planning, performance analysis, and business forecasting for our upstream oil and gas operations.
The Corporate Planning Analyst works cross-functionally to translate technical, operational, and commercial inputs into actionable financial insights that inform portfolio decisions, investment prioritization and stakeholder engagement.
Principle Accountabilities
- Business Planning, Financial modeling, forecasting and analysis
- Develop, update, and maintain financial models at both the asset and corporate level
- Perform IRR, NPV, cash flow forecasting, sensitivity, scenario, and breakeven analyses
- Assist with Group liquidity projections
- Support the development and consolidation of the Group’s Annual Work Program and Budget
- Translate technical inputs into economic and financial outputs
- Assist in challenge sessions and planning reviews by providing analytical insights and scenario comparisons
- Build and enhance Excel-based tools to support internal analysis
- Contribute to the development and automation of reporting dashboards using Power BI or similar tools
- Collaborate cross-functionally across teams to validate model inputs and ensure assumptions are up to date and reliable
- Support internal and external stakeholder engagement by preparing financial materials
Position Holder Requirements
5 to 7 years of experience in corporate finance, strategy, or financial modelling analysis within the oil & gas industryStrong understanding of upstream oil & gas value chain, including exploration, development, and production economicsHands-on experience building and maintaining financial modelsExposure to investment appraisal, project evaluation, or M&A within the energy sectorProficiency in Excel, Powerpoint and data analytics platform such as PowerBI is preferredCandidate Profile
