Position Summary : The Finance position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance. This role ensures that all financial records are accurate, up to date, and comply with applicable laws and standards, including Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS) and taxation laws.
Reporting to Chief Finance Officer (CFO)
Key Responsibilities :
1. Financial Accounting
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger records.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
2. Accounts Payable & Receivable
Process supplier invoices, staff claims, and payments on time.Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding receivables.Prepare aging reports and assist in collection efforts.3. Budgeting & Forecasting
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.Monitor budget utilization and provide variance analysis reports.4. Taxation & Compliance
Assist in the preparation and submission of statutory filings (e.g., SST, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, LHDN).Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and government bodies as required.Ensure compliance with Malaysian financial regulations and company policies.6. Internal Controls
Support implementation and enforcement of internal financial controls.Maintain proper filing and record-keeping systems for audit and compliance purposes.7. Other Duties
Support finance-related projects and system implementations.Perform ad-hoc tasks and reports as assigned by the Finance Manager.__________________________________________________________________
Job Requirements
Education & Qualifications :
Diploma / Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, MICPA) is an advantage.Experience :
Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance.Experience with Malaysian statutory reporting and tax filing is preferred.Skills :
Proficiency in accounting software (SQL system).Strong knowledge of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.Good understanding of Malaysian financial regulations and taxation.Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to meet deadlines and work independently or as part of a team.Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Discretion in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia, English, and Mandarin and Korean is advantageousA team player with self-discipline, meticulousness, excellent time management and capability to work independently with integrity.Working Conditions :
Office-based, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.May require occasional overtime during peak financial periods or audits.Additional Information :
