1. Responsible for ensuring medical equipment is deemed serviceable, safe and properly configured to meet the quality and safety of patient care service.
2. Provide technical support and necessary advices to the end users of the medical equipment.
3. Be on-call after working hours.
4. To perform such other duties may be assigned from time to time by the management.
Others
1. Performing testing and commissioning of newly purchase, demonstration, loan or rental equipment before being handover to user.
2. Carrying out the periodic maintenance service on medical equipment as per PPM planner and ensure all PPM checklist is up to date as per manufacturer recommendation.
3. Attend to equipment breakdown, carrying out troubleshooting, repairing and calibration where the necessary.
4. Performing asset management activity such as but not limited to asset registration, asset audit and asset appraisal report.
5. Performing disposal activity for the equipment no longer economical to be used.
6. Monitor spare part level and spare part availability to minimize repair downtime.
7. Monitoring and supervising the work of the external service provider / contractor. Maintain proper documentation of the maintenance activities
