Facility Technician (Site : One Precinct, Bayan Lepas, Penang)

Responsibilities

• Ensure the smooth running of day-to-day facility operations and attend ad-hoc facility repair and maintenance activities.
• Attend helpdesk requests related to complaints or requests from end users, execute corrective maintenance, obtain verification from end users / clients for completed work orders, and submit to Supervisor for work order closing.
• Execute / supervise (in-house or outsourced) routine maintenance servicing / Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) as scheduled, fill up PPM checklists, notify superior of any signs of deterioration or abnormalities, and compile and submit PM checklists to Supervisor after work is completed for work order closing.
• Identify and notify Supervisor of parts / materials needed for purchase for use on maintenance works.
• Inform Supervisor of any VO opportunities and assist Mechanical Supervisor with VO preparation works.
• Care for tools provided by the company and notify Supervisor of any tools required for maintenance activities as well as faulty or missing tools.
• Assist in Fire Evacuation Drills and other Fire Safety Activities.
• Ensure and perform necessary housekeeping activities at all respective work areas.
• Obey and implement company rules / regulations and comply with authorities during operation & maintenance activities.
• Promote teamwork, maintain motivation, keep a healthy environment, and avoid provocations or confrontations that affect motivation and operation.
• Be alert and respond to on-call emergencies; attend, rectify and update superior for any emergency events.
• Assist with parking management related functions.
• Perform other related functions and activities as assigned / directed by the company.
