We are hiring

We are seeking a highly capable and driven Finance Lead – Finance Operations to join our finance team. This role will be pivotal in overseeing the day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, adherence to regulatory requirements, and enhancing cross‑functional collaboration to drive scalable finance workflows and reporting structures.

About the job

Financial & Regulatory Reporting

  • Oversee timely and accurate preparation of financial and regulatory reports in accordance with local and international accounting standards.

Daily Finance Operations

  • Oversee day‑to‑day finance activities including settlements, reconciliations, and refunds. Ensure smooth execution and adherence to internal controls and compliance requirements.

    • Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Business Partnership

  • Work closely with teams across operations, compliance, risk, fraud, treasury, and product to align financial processes with business needs and regulatory expectations.
  • Act as a strategic partner — providing financial insights and influencing decisions through sound analysis and clear communication.

    • Process Design & Optimization

  • Design, implement and continuously improve scalable finance workflows, reporting structures, and SOPs to meet evolving business and compliance needs.
  • Drive initiatives that promote standardization, automation and operational efficiency.

    • Product & Reporting Development

  • Collaborate with product and business teams to define finance‑related requirements for new initiatives, develop custom reports, and ensure finance’s perspective is reflected in end products.

    • Audit & Compliance Support

  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely provision of documentation and resolution of audit queries.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulations and contractual obligations.

    • Ad‑Hoc Projects

  • Participate in strategic and cross‑functional projects, providing finance input and support as needed.

    • To be successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance; professional certifications (e.g. ICAEW, CPA, ACCA) preferred.
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in accounting / finance, ideally within a financial institution or regulated environment.
  • Experience in external audit within the financial services industry is a strong advantage.
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Proven ability to partner with cross‑functional teams and communicate complex financial matters to non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and / or financial reporting tools (e.g., Power Query, SQL).
  • Self‑motivated and adaptable to fast‑paced, evolving environments.
  • Prior experience in fintech, payments or other financial services.
  • Familiarity with finance systems, ERP platforms, and process automation tools.
  • Experience leading or contributing to finance transformation initiatives.
