Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Manager, Ocean Freight to lead and oversee our ocean freight import and export operations. This is a critical leadership role responsible for driving operational excellence, managing diverse teams, and supporting the company’s growth in freight forwarding services. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping future business strategies. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage end-to-end ocean freight operations (import/export) with a hands-on, customer-focused approach. Oversee and mentor a diverse team, ensuring high performance, engagement, and talent development. Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, airfreight, customs clearance, and other departments to ensure seamless logistics solutions. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and internal SOPs. Drive process improvements and cost-efficiency across operations. Build strong relationships with customers, carriers, and vendors to enhance service quality. Monitor KPIs, budgets, and profitability of the ocean freight division. Participate in strategic planning and contribute to business growth initiatives. Requirements 10–15 years of experience in the logistics and freight forwarding industry. Minimum 5 years in ocean freight operations. Experience in managing larger and diverse teams is essential Proven experience managing larger and diverse operational teams. Has previous/current experience leading in mid-sized logistics companies or global firms, with readiness for an elevated role. Exposure to airfreight and customs clearance is an advantage.
