Technician – High-Speed Robotic Arm (3 / 5 Palletizer Robot)
Operate and monitor high-speed robotic arms (3 / 5 palletizer robots) during production shifts.
Ensure robots are correctly synchronized with injection moulding machines and conveyor systems.
Adjust robot parameters (speed, sequence, alignment) to optimize performance and minimize errors.
Identify and resolve operational alarms or system stoppages promptly.
2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Perform routine inspection, cleaning, and basic maintenance of robotic systems.
Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, and sensor-related issues to minimize downtime.
Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities in collaboration with the maintenance team.
Maintain detailed maintenance logs and report abnormalities immediately to superiors.
3. Quality & Productivity Control
Ensure palletizing accuracy, correct stacking patterns, and product stability.
Monitor output for defects, misalignment, or incomplete cycles , and take corrective action.
Work closely with quality control personnel to ensure consistent packaging quality.
Assist in production line setup and robot programming for new moulds or product changes.
4. Safety & Compliance
Follow all factory safety procedures and lock-out / tag-out (LOTO) practices when handling robots.
Ensure all sensors, safety fences, and emergency stops are functioning properly.
Report unsafe conditions, equipment damage, or potential hazards immediately.
Record daily production data, downtime, and performance reports.
Suggest improvements for robot cycle time, energy usage, and workflow efficiency.
Participate in continuous improvement projects and technical training sessions.
Qualifications
Education
Certificate or Diploma in Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in robotic operations or automation in an injection moulding or manufacturing environment.
Experience with palletizer robots (ABB, KUKA, Fanuc, Yaskawa, etc.) preferred.
Technical Skills
Understanding of PLC control systems, pneumatic circuits, and sensors.
Ability to perform basic robot programming and parameter adjustment.
Knowledge of injection moulding production flow and packaging systems.
Soft Skills
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and focus on safety.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Willingness to work shifts or overtime as required.
Working Conditions
Factory environment with exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.
Rotating or fixed shifts depending on production schedule.
Must wear appropriate PPE (safety shoes, gloves, helmet, etc.).
Performance Indicators
Robot uptime and productivity rate.
Palletizing accuracy and product quality.
Compliance with maintenance schedule.
Reduction in downtime and troubleshooting response time.
