Overview

We’re looking for a Senior BI Engineer to design and develop enterprise-level BI solutions that enable data-driven decision-making. You will be at the intersection of data engineering and business analysis, building scalable dashboards, optimizing data pipelines, and guiding BI strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Define and maintain the BI roadmap, architecture, and deployment strategy.
  • Design and optimize ETL / ELT pipelines and scalable data models.
  • Build high-quality interactive dashboards and reports for enterprise reporting.
  • Collaborate with business teams to define KPIs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Ensure data quality and maintain governance standards.
  • Lead performance tuning and mentor junior developers.
  • Stay ahead of BI trends and recommend innovative tools or practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in BI development, data engineering, or analytics.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling (star / snowflake schemas).
  • Strong experience with at least one BI tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Looker).
  • Experience building and managing ETL / ELT processes using cloud-native solutions (e.g., Fabric Pipeline, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue) or tools like SSIS, Talend, Informatica.
  • Proficient in working with relational databases and / or cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Azure Synapse).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python preferred) for data processing or automation tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and performance optimization.
  • Understanding of data governance, data security, and compliance standards.
  • Experience in product roadmap strategy and release management is a plus.
