Role Purpose

The Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, testing, and maintaining the products to ensure the highest standards of product performance and customer satisfaction. The role supports the after-sales service operations by delivering timely and accurate repairs while ensuring compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Diagnostics & Repair

• Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across all product categories, including floorcare, environmental care, beauty, and audio products.
• Perform repairs, servicing, component replacement, and maintenance in accordance with the brand technical standards and repair procedures.
• Conduct product inspections and testing to accurately identify faults and determine corrective actions.
• Ensure all repairs are completed within agreed service turnaround times and quality standards.

2. Quality Assurance & Testing

• Perform functional and quality checks on repaired products before release to customers.
• Ensure repaired products meet MY Premium Lifestyle Brand's performance, reliability, and safety requirements.
• Accurately document diagnostic findings, repair actions, and testing results.
• Escalate recurring product issues and technical concerns to relevant stakeholders for further investigation.

3. Service Operations Support

• Manage repair jobs, service requests, and work orders in accordance with established processes.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, spare parts usage, and service activities.
• Support warranty assessments and determine eligibility based on policies and guidelines.
• Assist with customer product inspections and service-related enquiries when required.

4. Spare Parts & Inventory Management

• Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability for repair activities.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and accountability of parts, tools, and equipment.
• Report stock shortages and support inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment.

5. Technical Knowledge & Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on new products, technologies, repair procedures, and technical bulletins.
• Participate in technical training and certification programmes.
• Contribute feedback on product performance, common faults, and service improvement opportunities.
• Support implementation of best practices and operational improvements within the service centre.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Diploma, Certificate, or Technical Qualification in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in product repair, technical servicing, maintenance, or electronics troubleshooting.
• Experience in consumer electronics, home appliances, electrical products, or technical service environments is preferred.
• Experience within the luxury, lifestyle brands, electronics, premium consumer brand, and retail industry is an added advantage.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
