To supervise and coordinate housekeeping staff, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and guest service in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas, while maintaining efficiency and productivity within the housekeeping department.
Key Responsibilities : Supervision & Operations
- Assign, supervise, and inspect daily tasks of room attendants, public area attendants, and other housekeeping staff.
- Ensure all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned, maintained, and set up according to hotel standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms, corridors, and common areas to maintain quality standards.
- Monitor and follow up on room status in coordination with Front Office and Maintenance.
- Handle and resolve guest complaints or requests related to housekeeping promptly.
Staff Management
Schedule and monitor staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.Provide training, coaching, and guidance to new and existing staff on cleaning standards, safety, and service etiquette.Conduct regular briefings and ensure team discipline, grooming, and adherence to SOPs.Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback to management.Inventory & Supplies
Monitor usage and control of housekeeping supplies, amenities, and linen.Report shortages, damages, and maintenance issues.Ensure proper storage, distribution, and accountability of linen, equipment, and cleaning materials.Health, Safety & Standards
Enforce strict compliance with hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.Ensure proper handling of guest property and lost & found procedures.Maintain pest control and cleanliness standards in all assigned areas.Adhere to hotel's environmental and sustainability policies (e.g., water & energy saving).Administration & Reporting
Prepare daily housekeeping reports (room status, discrepancies, inspection reports).Report maintenance issues to Engineering and follow up on completion.Assist in preparing duty rosters, leave schedules, and performance appraisals.Support Housekeeping Manager in audits, budgeting, and departmental planning.Job Requirements :
Minimum 2–3 years' experience in housekeeping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, equipment, and safety regulations.Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.Customer service-oriented with attention to detail.Job Type : Full-time
