Your Role and Impact
As a Software Developer (Python – Automation Software Development), you will be at the forefront of developing AI‑powered solutions to replace manual operations, helping our clients build smarter, more efficient factories. What You’ll Do
Deep Problem Solving & Architecture
- Proactively break down ambiguous manufacturing problems and propose multiple technical approaches
- Architect modular, scalable solutions that can adapt to evolving shop‑floor requirements
- Keep algorithmic considerations in mind and collaborate closely with data scientists and computer‑vision engineers to integrate advanced analytics or control logic as needed
Core Development
Mastery in Python (3.x), leveraging frameworks / tech like asyncio, multithreading, and functional programmingBuild clean, well‑documented code with strong OOP and design‑pattern best practicesSystem Integration & Deployment
Interface with industrial equipment (via REST, Websocket, MQTT or custom protocols)Containerize with Docker; collaborate on Git for reliable releasesAI & Automation Tools
Integrate or fine‑tune LLMs and agentic AI agents to automate complex decision workflowsDevelop retrieval‑augmented systems, effective prompt strategies, or rule‑based fallbacks as neededQuality & Testing
Create exhaustive unit / integration tests and simulation environments to validate automation logicTroubleshoot production issues with clear root‑cause analyses and corrective solutionsWhat We’re Looking For
Must be legally eligible to work in Penang, Malaysia without the need for a work pass or visa sponsorship.Minimum Bachelor’s, or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science , or related fields.Excellent communication skills ; English proficiency is required, and Chinese communication skills are also required for interacting with clients from China.More than 3 years of professional software development experience, primarily using Python , plus familiarity with related ecosystems (e.g. Git, Docker, RPA tools) and knowledge of virtualization / KVM, RPA frameworks, or real‑time control systems.Familiarity with Databases, Docker, Git, APIs, and message queues.Experience in AI / ML, including frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or LLM fine‑tuning, is highly desirable.Hands‑on experience in semiconductor or industrial automation environments is a plus.Strong problem‑solving and deep thinker ; able to work through uncertainty, ask the right questions, and drive solutions to completion.Collaborative and able to work effectively with Data Science or Computer Vision teams , with an understanding of basic data processing and computer vision workflows to implement algorithmic components in production.Why Join Us?
