We are seeking an experienced Software Developer to develop, maintain, and enhance in-house business applications, support system integrations, and ensure robust database and application support across the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance in-house business applications.
- Design, develop, test, debug, and implement software applications.
- Maintain and support existing applications, databases, and programmes.
- Gather and analyse user requirements to translate them into practical IT solutions.
- Work closely with users and business departments to identify system improvements and automation opportunities.
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support to users.
- Develop and maintain integrations between internal applications, ERP systems, and other business platforms.
- Work with APIs and system interfaces to support data exchange between applications.
- Support database maintenance and application-related data requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, system specifications, user guides, and application documentation.
- Ensure applications comply with internal IT standards, security requirements, and development best practices.
- Participate in application enhancements, system upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Applicants must have the legal right to work in Malaysia. Visa sponsorship is not available.
- Minimum 3+ years of software development or programming experience.
- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following technologies: C#.
- Good knowledge of relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL.
- Understanding of software development, debugging, and application support.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with users from different departments.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with enterprise applications and business systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good troubleshooting ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as within an IT team.
- Experience with API integration or working with system interfaces.
- Familiarity with ERP systems integration.
- Experience supporting or maintaining Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) or similar reporting tools.
