Purchasing Executive

About the client: Our client are wholesaler/distributor of electrical and electronic consumer products focus on h ousehold electrical appliances, consumer electronics and related goods. They are seeking a Purchasing Executive to join the team. The Purchasing Executive will play a crucial role in the supply chain operations, responsible for sourcing, procuring, and managing inventory to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of their manufacturing and logistics business. Job Scope: Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors, negotiating terms and conditions to secure competitive pricing and quality standards. Prepare and process purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with operations teams to forecast procurement needs and prevent stockouts. Track shipments and manage delivery schedules to ensure materials arrive on time and in optimal condition. Maintain detailed records of purchases, invoices, and supplier communications for audit and reporting purposes. Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues, manage returns, and ensure quality compliance of delivered goods. Analyse spends data and identifies opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements. Support the development and maintenance of supplier relationships to ensure ongoing reliability and performance. Assist in the implementation of procurement systems and tools to streamline purchasing workflows. Requirement: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field. 2-3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or inventory management within a manufacturing or logistics environment. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, and inventory control systems. Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain supplier relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
