About the role

Guan Tong Industries Sdn Bhd, a leading manufacturer in the food industry, is seeking an experienced R&D Executive (Food Field) to join their team in Alor Setar, Kedah. This full-time position will play a crucial role in driving innovation and ensuring the quality and safety of the company's products.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting research and development activities to create new or improve existing food products
  • Formulating, testing, and evaluating prototypes to meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address emerging trends and customer needs
  • Analysing market data and consumer feedback to inform product development strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant food safety and quality regulations
  • Documenting and presenting research findings to key stakeholders
  • Providing technical support and training to production and sales teams

What we're looking for

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in research and development within the food industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw insights
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance processes
  • Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software for data analysis and reporting
  • Innovative mindset and the ability to identify and implement creative solutions
