Sales Application Engineer – Water Industry / Water Treatment

Location : Subang, Selangor, Malaysia

Remuneration : Competitive, based on experience

️ Language Requirement : Mandarin speaker required (for effective client and regional communication)

Reports to : Head of Sales – Water Division

About the Role

The Sales Application Engineer plays a crucial role in bridging technical expertise and commercial success . This position is responsible for supporting sales activities , providing technical guidance , and ensuring customer satisfaction by offering effective engineering solutions tailored to clients’ needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the sales team to support business development activities and technical discussions with clients.
  • Provide engineering and application support for piping systems, fittings, valves, and water treatment solutions.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and technical presentations in line with customer requirements and project specifications.
  • Offer product training and technical consultation to clients and distributors, ensuring full understanding of solution capabilities.
  • Collaborate with regional and global engineering teams to develop optimized solutions for customers in Malaysia.
  • Manage post-sales technical support , troubleshooting, and performance follow-up when required.
  • Stay up to date on industry standards, regulations, and new technologies in the water and wastewater sectors.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 3–6 years of experience in technical sales, project, or application engineering within water treatment, piping, or industrial engineering industries.
  • Strong understanding of fluid systems, valves, and water technologies .
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills .
  • Fluency in Mandarin and English is essential due to customer and stakeholder engagement.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.
