Overview
We are looking for a Production Engineer to further strengthen our Production department. As a Production Engineer, you will be directly investigating issues, technically analyzing production processes and installations, identifying issues and opportunities and define and implement improvement actions and projects in order to solve urgent and recurring problems and continuously improve on efficiency, safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Knows the health, safety, environment & housekeeping procedures and rules, operates in accordance with them, alerts risks, participates in risk analyses, takes corrective actions regarding the own work environment and stimulates safe behavior of colleagues and third parties
- Monitor daily production activities and ensure achievement of output, quality, and efficiency targets
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the production line to minimize downtime
- Implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies improving efficiency, safety and quality of the production processes
- Prepare and review production reports, performance data, and root cause analyses
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product standards and reduce defects
- Coordinate with Maintenance to ensure machinery and equipment reliability
- Train and guide production operators and technicians
- Participate in new product introductions, process validations, and equipment commissioning
- Support cost reduction, waste minimization, and energy-saving initiatives
Qualifications
You have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, or related field)You have minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the Oleochemical / chemical process industryYou have knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and safety standardsYou have proven leadership skills with the ability to manage group of people and motivate a team effectivelyYou have excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailYou are proficient in Microsoft Office, SAP, and basic CAD tools (preferred)You have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departmentsYou are willing to work at Pulau Indah, Port KlangNext to your skills, it is your drive and motivation that will make all the difference!
