We have an exciting opening for a new Regional Indirect Procurement Manager. Based in Penang, Malaysia and reporting APAC Head of Supply Chain and 8 direct reports with a focus on indirect regional category management and purchasing services across Asia-Pacific. The chosen candidate will have the ability to drive collaboration between local stakeholders, global and local procurement functions as well as lead the team to drive results through a set of defined goals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all regional strategic activities : category strategies, source to contract and supplier management activities and operational tasks : supplier onboarding, purchase orders and KPI reporting amongst other topics.
• Give input to the regional Indirect Procurement operating model & strategy.
• Generate ideas and drive specific procurement initiatives to standardize and simplify processes to benefit both the regional and the global organization.
• Identify areas of opportunity and lead the team to fulfill cost, process, productivity, and sustainability goals that generate the best value.
• Drive early involvement, spend management, and correct buying principles.
• Establish relationships and become a trusted advisor with stakeholders to ensure Indirect Procurement is aligned with their business objectives.
• Build excellent supplier relationships whereby procurement is seen as a key decision-maker.
• Maintain knowledge of industry and business best practices and emerging technologies.
• Recruit, staff and develop a high-performing and motivated indirect procurement team responsible for interfacing with business and supplier partners.
