Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and innovative Global Process Engineer with deep expertise in printing technologies to support and scale our global manufacturing operations. Based in Johor, Malaysia, this role is critical in leading technical excellence across printing processes, driving standardization, supporting new equipment implementation, and fostering cross-site collaboration. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flexographic, gravure, or offset printing within a regulated or quality-focused manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities / Essential Functions
- Serve as a global subject matter expert (SME) for printing processes, technologies, and quality standards.
 - Support multiple sites within the APAC region for technical troubleshooting, continuous improvement initiatives, and process optimization, with emphasis on sites in Johor, Malaysia, and Suzhou, China.
 - Collaborate with R&D, quality, and operations teams on the qualification of new print technologies, inks, substrates, and equipment.
 - Lead the global standardization of printing processes, documentation, and training across manufacturing locations.
 - Oversee capital projects involving printing equipment selection, installation, and validation.
 - Partner with local and global engineering teams to ensure alignment on technology roadmaps and innovation strategies.
 - Analyze print quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
 - Support customer audits and internal quality reviews related to printing operations.
 
Education & Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Printing Technology, or related field.Experience
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on industrial flexographic printing.Knowledge of printing press operations, color management, ink systems, and print quality control.Familiarity with package pre-press principles, tools like Creative Suite, Esko, etc.Proven success in leading cross-functional projects across multiple regions.Other Requirements
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.Willingness to travel up to 20% globally, primarily in the APAC region, with some travel to Europe and the US.Multilingual skills : Mandarin and English.Preferred Qualifications
Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare or food packaging.Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, or other quality systems.Multilingual skills : Malay.Interpersonal & Technical Skills
Customer orientation, teamwork, problem-solving, and partnership development skills.Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and communicate effectively.Strong Microsoft Office skills and experience with ERP systems.Project management experience and ability to handle multiple projects with attention to detail.Working Conditions & Special Requirements
