High School Youth Leader - After-School

Position Summary : Through the after-school programme, we look to promote the importance of leading a healthy and active lifestyle to our school-aged youth. We are looking for a positive versatile, enthusiastic individual who can motivate our youth and condition their minds and bodies. This person will be creative, motivating, diverse in their approach and have the ability to positively influence youth of varying abilities. At the Y, we like to play with a purpose; the purpose of this position is to have fun while creating healthy citizens of Cayman’s community.

Qualifications : Minimum age 21, High School Diploma, CPR & First Aid certified, previous experience working with children, previous experience leading sports activities, ability to make quick, appropriate decisions for the safety and well-being of all children in their immediate care, and the ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.

Work Schedule & Compensation : Approximately 15 hours per week, with programming being delivered Monday - Friday, between the hours of 2 : 30-5 : 30pm; CI$12.00-$15.00 per / hour (based on education and experience), plus part-time benefits.
