About the role
You will be working for a financial advisory firm based in Australia that handles global mining, oil & gas, property, and renewables infrastructure businesses. The client projects ranges from A$100m – A$70bn market cap with Project location ranges from Australia to Chile, West Africa to Northern Europe. The team comprises of highly smart and intelligent individuals coming from (ex-Deloitte, KPMG and etc). As they are expanding their business very rapidly, they are looking for talents based in KL with good financial modelling capability to support their existing and upcoming projects.
Job Scope : -
- Build financial models in Excel to support financing processes, aid corporate decision-making, and manage information.
- Conduct scenario analysis based on operational, financial and investment decisions as well as macroeconomic factors.
- Evaluate companies using various financial valuation methods, such as DCF, comparable company analysis, capital structure analysis etc.
- Set up funding structures and scenarios in models and complete funding capacity, project finance analyses
- Test and improve models to produce high quality outputs that perform to client specification and meet investor requirements.
- Identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks.
- Identify levers available to Management in order to optimise their business.
- Conduct primary and secondary research, quantitative data collection and analysis.
Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Degree or professional qualification in Finance, Science, Engineering or other suitable qualification from a well regarded university (overseas)Excellent academic credentials and professional Accounting / Finance qualification is highly preferable.At least 5 years' experience in Financial Modelling, Advisory or Corporate Finance. Mid-level and Junior candidates are welcomed as trainings will be given.Strong communication skills in both oral and written English.Possess good problem solving, strategic, analytical, interpersonal and people management skills. Client management experience / skills would be helpful as well.Experience with project feasibility studies, financing structures and project finance.Benefits

Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business management, or related field Minimum 2 years of fund house experience Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements, including but not limited to the Anti-Money Laundering Act, Capital Markets and Services Act 2007. Familiar with Labuan regulatory framework is highly preferred. Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Fast thinking and resourceful Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skill Ability to stay up to date with the latest legal and regulatory developments Keen awareness of Malaysia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong’s business environment, regulatory changes, and updates Preferably with CFA qualification
