Job Description

  • Designed and reviewed industrial relations policies and guidelines to strengthen workplace relations and compliance.
  • Led and coached a team in resolving employee grievances, disciplinary matters, and disputes through timely and constructive approaches.
  • Ensured all disciplinary processes adhered to local employment legislation and best practices.
  • Advised management on appropriate corrective and disciplinary measures aligned with organisational policies.
  • Facilitated training sessions on employee and industrial relations topics.
  • Fostered collaboration and mutual respect between management and employee representatives.
  • Represented employer interests in formal industrial or labour-related proceedings when necessary.
  • Contributed to the review and negotiation of collective agreements.

    • The Successful Applicant

    A successful Industrial Relations Specialist should have :

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Open to relocate or currently based at Pahang
  • Must have at least four years of experience specialising in Industrial or Employee Relations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Malaysian employment and labour laws.
  • Skilled in managing grievance, disciplinary, and dispute resolution processes independently.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Able to perform effectively under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin advantageous.
  • Experience working within unionised environments preferred.
