Senior Software Engineer (Next.js)

Overview

Bukku is a well-funded, fast-growing software company behind one of Malaysia’s most-loved cloud accounting platforms — trusted by thousands of SMEs nationwide. We’re now entering our next phase of growth and are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team — someone with solid experience in Next.js and frontend architecture , who’s excited to shape the product and mentor junior engineers. You’ll be working alongside a growing team of 9–10 junior / mid-level developers, contributing not just code, but engineering best practices and scalable solutions that help us serve even more SMEs across the country.

What You’ll Do

• Lead the design and development of complex features and frontend architecture using React / Next.js .
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code — and help others do the same.
• Build reusable UI components and frontend infrastructure to improve dev velocity.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to deliver high-impact features.
• Review code and mentor junior / mid-level engineers across the team.
• Participate in technical decision-making and help shape engineering direction.
• Occasionally contribute to backend APIs ( Laravel , Python ) as needed.
