Digital Solution Area Specialists - Cybersecurity at Microsoft, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Join a fast-paced SME&C sales team focused on customer success, leveraging AI and an extensive partner ecosystem to drive digital transformation and security outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Sales Execution : Engage in conversations with customers aligned to their industry and collaborate with account and partner teams to drive and qualify opportunities, build pipeline, and accelerate deal closures. Identify customer readiness, map external stakeholders, contribute to close plans, and coach junior team members on deal plan execution.
- Business Value Selling : Hunt new security opportunities by engaging key business contacts, understanding customer priorities, governance, decision and budget processes, and communicating the value proposition.
- Scaling and Collaboration : Apply role orchestration to bring the best impact to the customer and collaborate with Global Partner Solutions (GPS); identify and develop partner strategies and joint proposals.
- Technical Expertise : Initiate security discussions with business decision makers, share best practices and competitor knowledge, act as a subject matter expert, and guide pursuit decisions. Lead conversations at events and mentor others in best practices.
- Sales Excellence : Plan for accounts with partners and resources, perform competitive analysis, forecasting, and business analysis to pursue high-potential customers.
- Delivery Through Teamwork : Drive project execution and collaborate with other teams on related deliverables, leveraging others in relevant work streams.
- Learning and Growth : Demonstrate a willingness to invest in personal learning in the cybersecurity arena.
Qualifications
8+ years of technology-related sales or account management experienceOR Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, or related field AND 6+ years of technology-related sales or account management experienceOR Master’s Degree in Business Administration (e.g., MBA), Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years of technology-related sales or account management experienceCybersecurity industry experience; Microsoft security portfolio knowledge preferredDemonstrated experience selling complex, cloud-based solutions to Enterprise customersProven sales and negotiation experienceExperience selling complex, cloud-based solutions to small and medium enterprise customersProven self-starter with the ability to drive delivery of goals as best practices are developedAble to drive technical security conversations and conduct product / solution demonstrationsSolid understanding of the security market and complete solutionsExperience in managing channel salesMicrosoft is an equal opportunity employer.
