We are seeking an exceptional Public Cloud SAP Functional Consultant to join our Center of Excellence (CoE) or Center of Governance (CoG) team, with deep expertise in one or more of the following SAP modules : FI, CO, SD, CS, MM, EWM, PP, QM, or PM, specifically within SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud environments. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of advanced SAP experience, with a proven ability to design, configure, and innovate SAP Public Cloud solutions that drive business value. This role demands extensive functional knowledge, a strategic mindset for product development in a cloud-first context, and leadership in leveraging SAP's public cloud capabilities within a CoE / CoG framework.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture and Product Development :

  • Design and configure advanced SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud solutions tailored to the selected module(s) (e.g., automated financial processes in FI, warehouse optimization in EWM, or predictive maintenance in PM).
  • Develop scalable, reusable SAP Public Cloud templates, extensions, and enhancements using SAP's guided configuration and best practices to accelerate deployments.
  • Leverage SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for cloud-based extensions and integrations specific to the chosen module(s).

Research and Innovation :

  • Research emerging SAP Public Cloud technologies (e.g., S / 4HANA Cloud innovations, SAP BTP, embedded analytics, AI-driven insights) to create next-generation solutions for the selected module(s).
  • Prototype and validate new cloud-based features or integrations (e.g., IoT for PM, advanced analytics for CO, or customer service dashboards in CS) using SAP BTP and public cloud tools.
  • Stay updated on SAP's public cloud roadmap and quarterly releases to ensure alignment with the latest innovations.

    • Advanced Configuration and Enhancement :

  • Lead complex configuration within SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud for the assigned module(s), such as FI (financial close automation), CO (profitability analysis), SD (global pricing), or MM (inventory optimization).
  • Utilize SAP BTP, low-code / no-code tools, and clean core principles to deliver tailored, innovative functionalities while adhering to public cloud constraints.
  • Implement SAP Fiori apps and embedded analytics to enhance user experience and module-specific functionality.

    • Strategic Business Process Optimization :

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to re-engineer business processes using SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud's standard capabilities and cross-module integrations (e.g., MM-EWM, SD-FI, PP-QM).
  • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) projects to test innovative cloud-based solutions and ensure scalability in a public cloud environment.
  • Optimize processes using SAP Signavio and SAP's best practices for public cloud deployments.

    • Project and Program Leadership :

  • Drive CoE / CoG-led SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud initiatives, including implementations, upgrades, and migrations, with a focus on delivering strategic, module-specific solutions.
  • Serve as a senior SME, providing architectural guidance and governance for public cloud deployments in the selected module(s).
  • Ensure adherence to SAP's clean core strategy and public cloud governance standards.

    • Governance and Knowledge Leadership :

  • Establish best practices, governance standards, and solution blueprints for SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud in the assigned module(s).
  • Mentor teams, deliver advanced training on public cloud capabilities, and contribute thought leadership (e.g., whitepapers, process guides).
  • Ensure compliance with SAP's public cloud security, data privacy, and regulatory standards.

    • Complex Issue Resolution :

  • Resolve high-complexity issues in the public cloud environment (e.g., warehouse sync issues in EWM, production variances in PP, or tax compliance in FI) using advanced troubleshooting and SAP's standard tools.
  • Collaborate with SAP support and leverage SAP's public cloud tools to address module-specific challenges.

    • Required Qualifications

    Experience :

  • Minimum of 8+ years of hands-on SAP experience, with deep expertise in at least one of the following modules : FI, CO, SD, CS, MM, EWM, PP, QM, or PM, preferably in SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud.
  • Proven leadership in at least 3 full-cycle SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud implementations, including solution design, configuration, and optimization.
  • Significant experience in CoE / CoG roles or innovation-driven projects, with a track record of building SAP Public Cloud solutions.

    • Technical Skills :

  • Expert-level knowledge in the selected module(s) within SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud, e.g. :
  • FI : Financial accounting, tax automation, universal journal.
  • CO : Costing-based COPA, material ledger, profitability analysis.
  • SD : Order-to-cash, pricing, revenue recognition.
  • CS : Service contracts, SLA management, field service.
  • MM : Procurement, inventory management, MRP.
  • EWM : Warehouse processes, wave management, slotting.
  • PP : Production planning, scheduling, capacity management.
  • QM : Quality inspections, notifications, compliance.
  • PM : Maintenance planning, predictive maintenance, work orders.
  • Strong understanding of cross-module integrations in SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud (e.g., MM-EWM, SD-FI, PP-QM).
  • Deep experience with SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud, including simplified data models, embedded analytics, and Fiori-based user interfaces.
  • Proficiency in SAP BTP for building cloud extensions, event-driven architectures, and integrations.
  • Familiarity with SAP's clean core principles and guided configuration tools.

    • Research and Innovation Skills :

  • Proven ability to research and implement SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud innovations (e.g., AI-driven insights, IoT for PM, or advanced analytics for CO).
  • Experience in designing and testing cloud-based prototypes for module-specific solutions.

    • Soft Skills :

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication abilities to drive CoE / CoG objectives and influence stakeholders in a cloud-first environment.

    • Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • SAP certification in one or more of the listed modules (FI, CO, SD, CS, MM, EWM, PP, QM, PM) for S / 4HANA Public Cloud is strongly preferred.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud deployments, including greenfield and brownfield implementations.
  • Expertise in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for building cloud-native extensions or integrations.
  • Knowledge of external systems (e.g., MES for PP, WMS for EWM, tax engines for FI) and their integration with SAP S / 4HANA Public Cloud.
  • Familiarity with SAP Activate methodology and Agile / DevOps practices for public cloud solution development.

    • Job Type : Contract

    Contract length : 12 months

    Pay : RM10, RM20,000.00 per month
