Khazanah Nasional Berhad is Malaysia’s sovereign wealth fund. Incorporated as a public limited company on 3 September 1993 and commencing operations in 1994, we are owned by the Minister of Finance (Incorporated), with the exception of one share held by the Federal Land Commissioner (Incorporated).

We invest across all levels of the Malaysian economy – from listed Malaysian companies to emerging sectors – as well as internationally across markets, asset classes, sectors, and geographies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage post-trade activities and monitor transaction reports ensuring all exceptions are remediated.
  • Work in partnership with the business and stakeholders in assessing and implementing new capabilities towards alpha generation and operational efficiencies.
  • Maintain the right Performance Measurement, Attribution & Risk (PMAR) setup and ensure right return calculations.
  • Provide control support to ensure portfolio managers operate within the set governance and control.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to identify process and trading platform improvements.
  • Act as command centre to perform impact analysis of market and regulatory changes for identification of changes required to front mid back processes in ensuring compliance and adoption.
  • Administer user access and permissions to maintain data confidentiality and compliance with policies.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to support data integration and migration projects.
  • Coordinate budget management within the division.
  • Active review of processes for adoption of best practices towards a robust, scalable and efficient end-to-end process, extracting synergies without compromising risk and controls.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage on technological / automation tools coupled with strong understanding of business needs, in order to streamline work processes
  • Drive process improvements for productivity and quality enhancements; design solutions to integrate into processes.
  • Manage day-to-day support and advice for the team of any transactional activities.
  • Coach, develop and manage Junior staff members.
  • To complete any other duties as assigned, from time-to-time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher / related field.
  • At least 3+ years’ experience in middle or back office providing Trade Execution Support for trading desk, treasury desk and security finance would be an added advantage.
  • Inquisitive and curious, detail-oriented, strong analytical ability, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and possess a drive for excellence.
  • Strong organisation skills and ability to work independently and effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and multiple priorities.
  • A good team player who can collaborate well with internal and external counterparts, self-motivated and enjoys working in a dynamic environment.
  • Stay up to date with technologies and recommend improvements.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Preferred Skills

  • System knowledge of Investment Management Systems for both Private & Public Equity, CRM tools, and Custodian record-keeping platforms.
  • Understanding of the trade life cycle in financial services.
  • Understand of IBOR, Investment Book of Records and ABOR, Accounting Book of Records.
  • Proficient in interpreting financial statement / reports and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Experienced in completing process improvements and optimization initiatives within data or system administration.
