Medical Interpreter (Mandarin / English)

Overview

I-Call International is looking to hire more Mandarin Interpreters to work remotely. As a Mandarin consecutive medical interpreter, your primary responsibility is to facilitate communication between healthcare providers and patients who speak Mandarin. Responsibilities

Interpretation : Accurately interpreting medical terminology, diagnoses, treatments, and other information between Mandarin-speaking patients and healthcare providers, including doctors, nurses, and other medical staff. Cultural mediation : Provide cultural mediation to help patients understand the healthcare system and how to navigate it effectively, and help healthcare providers understand cultural differences that may affect patient care. Confidentiality : Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the interpretation profession. Documentation : Document interpretation services provided, including date, time, duration, and type of interpretation. Professional development : Keep up-to-date with the latest medical terminology and healthcare practices to ensure accurate interpretation. Qualifications

Fluency in Mandarin and English Experience in interpretation or translation Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with the healthcare system Good communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work well under pressure Technical Requirements

Good internet (15 Mbps download and upload speed) Good PC (Intel Core i7 6th gen or equivalent, with a minimum of 8 GB RAM) USB headset (USB wired headset with noise cancellation; e.g., Logitech H390 or similar) LAN connection (hardwired Ethernet) HD webcam Professional working space Timings

Hourly Shift Program Pay
