Shell Script Developer

We are looking for a skilled Shell Script Developer to join our team and support critical infrastructure and enterprise systems. This role involves working within a Unix / Linux environment and managing scripts, databases, middleware technologies, and operational tools to ensure seamless IT service delivery.

Tenure : 6-10 years relevant experience

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot shell scripts in a Linux / Unix environment.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries , primarily in an Oracle database setting.
• Work with middleware technologies such as FTP servers and MQ messaging systems .
• Support and monitor batch jobs using job scheduling tools, with a preference for experience in Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) for Z / OS .
• Utilize monitoring tools and incident management systems to ensure system uptime and rapid issue resolution.
• Contribute to problem management, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.
• Follow and help improve processes aligned with the ITIL framework or similar service management best practices.
• (Bonus) Leverage familiarity with Citrix environments to assist in cross-functional support.
