Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Engineer to join our client’s growing team. The ideal candidate brings strong technical knowledge, solid sales experience, and the ability to manage long‑term customer relationships. You will drive business growth, develop new opportunities, and deliver expert solutions in steam and condensate systems. This role involves frequent customer engagement and hands‑on involvement at plant sites.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets, revenue, and margin objectives.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned industries and territories.
- Manage key accounts and build strong, long‑term relationships with customers.
- Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and plant site surveys to understand process needs and propose solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for major accounts and high‑value clients.
- Build trust and credibility by providing accurate technical insights and reliable support.
- Develop and deliver a strong Customer Value Proposition (CVP) focused on energy efficiency, process reliability, and cost savings.
- Engage with stakeholders across different levels, including operations, engineering, procurement, and management.
Technical & Commercial Support
Prepare and follow up on quotations, proposals, and commercial documents to drive conversion.Assist customers with technical queries and recommend optimal steam and condensate solutions.Collaborate with engineering, service, and operations teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, and commissioning.Monitor competitors, pricing, and market trends to identify opportunities and risks.Provide market feedback and insights to management for continuous improvement.Support and execute strategic sales initiatives or campaigns as required.Operational Excellence
Maintain accurate CRM entries, including activity reports, forecasts, and opportunity tracking.Participate in ongoing technical training and mentor junior sales team members when necessary.Ensure compliance with internal processes, documentation standards, and quality requirements.Requirements
Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent field.More than 5 years of experience in industrial technical sales, preferably involving steam systems, utilities, or process equipment.Proven experience in key account management, customer engagement, and achieving sales targets.Strong network or exposure in industries such as F&B, palm oil, oil & fats, paper mills, or general manufacturing would be an advantage.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.Self‑motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.Willing to travel frequently for customer visits and site engagements.Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.Seniority Level
