Key Responsibilities Design & Technical Evaluation
- Interpret and review technical drawings (2D / 3D) using AutoCAD and open / view STEP files for detailed analysis.
- Assess and determine suitable manufacturing methods — e.g. stamping, laser cutting, bending, welding, buffing, or a combination.
- Translate product drawings into feasible production plans based on material types, part complexity, and quantity.
- Work with internal engineering and production teams to ensure manufacturability and alignment to in-house capabilities. Costing & Quotation Preparation
- Prepare full product cost breakdowns covering raw materials, process costs, machine time, manpower, and overheads.
- Source and validate material pricing (CRS, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.) and calculate costs based on thickness range from 1.0mm to 5.0mm.
- Formulate RFQs for both in-house and subcontracted processes (e.g. powder coating, surface treatment, secondary assembly).
- Analyze customer drawings and BOMs to develop cost models and accurate quotations.
- Maintain updated costing records, templates, and standard pricing databases for parts andprocesses.
- Provide costing support during new project evaluations, customer RFQ submissions, andproject feasibility reviews.
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, and Production to ensure cost accuracy,competitiveness, and profitability.
