Project Engineer
Position Summary : The Project Engineer supports the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality compliance, and client satisfaction. Acting as a link between clients, vendors, and internal teams, this role combines technical expertise with project management to deliver reliable industrial solutions.
1. Technical Project Coordination
- Act as the primary technical contact between clients, engineering teams, operation team and the workshop team—ensuring accurate interpretation of engineering and project requirements.
- Support the development and review of technical designs, specifications, and blueprints.
- Ensure technical feasibility, compliance with standards, and operational safety throughout project phases.
2. Planning & Project Scheduling
Develop and maintain project plans, outlining key milestones, resource allocations, timelines, and technical deliverables.Assist in resource forecasting, including technical manpower, materials, and equipment provisioning.3. Quality Assurance & Risk Management
Implement systematic quality control measures to uphold industry standards across engineering tasks.Identify and mitigate technical risks that could impact project delivery or quality outcomes4. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date project documentation, including technical drawings, specifications, progress logs, and compliance recordsPrepare and present progress reports, highlighting schedule adherence, budget status, and potential risks or issues.5. Cross-functional & Stakeholder Communication
Facilitate clear and effective communication between the management team, engineering teams, contractors, and clients.Provide guidance to field staff, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure cohesive technical execution6. Vendor & Resource Oversight
Supervise vendor performance related to technical deliveries and ensure alignment with project specifications.Assist with technical procurement decisions based on TESS's product and service offerings.7. Sales & Customer Support
Work closely with the sales team to prepare technical proposals, quotations, and project documentation.Provide technical presentations and product demonstrations to customers.Assist in identifying client needs and recommending suitable solutions from TESS's product and service offerings.Support after-sales activities, including troubleshooting and technical clarifications for clients.Required Skills and Qualifications :
Education : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or a related Engineering discipline (Engineering Management preferred).
Experience : Min 1 to 5+ years in roles such as project engineering, field engineering, or technical coordination—preferably within industrial equipment, machinery, hydraulics, oil / gas, marine, or related sectors.
Technical Skills : Proficiency in preparing & interpreting engineering CAD drawings and technical documentation; experience in using project management or scheduling software.
Soft Skills : Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities; excellent communication and leadership; able to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders effectively
Work Conditions : Office and site work as needed; willingness to travel to client sites or offshore.
Additional :
Experience in project management or a similar role within product supply or services industries.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of CAD and project planning software is an advantage.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and under pressure in fast-paced environments.Familiarity with oil & gas or marine projects is a plus.
