Overview
- To prepare and submit pre-qualifications, tender bids and quotations.
- To review, evaluate and make recommendations on tenders and quotations submitted by the subcontractors and suppliers.
- To ensure that all works carried out by subcontractors are in accordance with the requirements of the main contract and subcontracts.
- To monitor amendments and changes to the scope of work and conditions of contract, variation orders and extension of time.
- To prepare and submit progress claims and final accounts to client.
- To evaluate and review progress claims and final accounts from subcontractors.
- To implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the QESH management system.
- To provide and demonstrate the leadership and commitment for the overall implementation of the QESH management system in the department.
- To take accountability for the effectiveness of the QESH management system in the department.
- To promote use of process approach, risk-based thinking and life cycle perspective in the department.
- To communicate the importance of effective QESH management system and conforming to the QESH management system requirements in the department.
- To ensure that the QESH management system achieves its intended results.
- To promote customer focus and improvement in the department.
- To meet client and applicable legal and other requirements.
- To determine risks, opportunities and plan actions and ensure they are implemented.
- To ensure the integrity of QESH management system is maintained at all times even when changes are made.
- To undertake any and all other duties and responsibilities as so instructed by the superior.
Qualifications and what we’re looking for
Degree / Diploma in quantity surveying or related field.At least 2 years of experience in a similar capacity.Capable of handling pre-qualification exercises and tender bids, and preparing quotations.Able to prepare, monitor and control project budgets.Knowledge in tenders, contracts, statutory and regulatory requirements.Knowledge in legal requirements and environmental, safety and health practices.Good interpersonal skills and negotiating skills.Able to work at construction site.If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply now.
