Overview
Oversee the full spectrum of Human Resource operations and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure effective execution of HR functions.
Lead, mentor, and supervise the HR team, ensuring effective service delivery, skills development, and achievement of departmental KPIs.
Support Management in developing and monitoring HR strategies, systems, policies, and procedures across the Company.
Lead monthly payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timely submission to employees and statutory bodies.
Oversee administration and corporate services functions in accordance with Company policies and best practices.
Compensation, Benefits & Retention
Conduct periodic reviews of compensation and benefit programs to ensure market competitiveness and provide recommendations to Management.
Determine suitable salary ranges and remuneration aligned with industry benchmarks.
Monitor employee turnover trends, identify root causes, and recommend retention strategies.
Employee Relations & Industrial Relations
Manage disciplinary cases, labour disputes, and employee terminations; conduct investigations, domestic inquiries, and represent the Company at relevant authorities / agencies.
Liaise with Union representatives on employment matters, participate in collective bargaining, and assist in preparing collective agreements.
Handle employee grievances and conflicts, driving fair and timely resolution.
Ensure consistent application of HR policies and procedures throughout the Company.
Performance Management & Talent Development
Oversee the performance management system, conduct periodic reviews, and propose enhancements to support continuous improvement.
Lead manpower planning and recruitment activities and liaise with Talent Management & Compliance Division to identify required skills and competencies.
Coordinate HR-related KPIs and monitor HR team performance against Company and Department goals.
Workplace Culture, Safety & Welfare
Foster a positive working environment by providing staff with necessary resources and addressing workplace concerns.
Collaborate with the Environment, Safety, Health and Security Division on matters related to workplace health surveillance, medical check-ups, prolonged illness, light-duty cases, occupational diseases, and workplace accidents.
Ensure effective administration and support of employee welfare facilities (attendance system, uniforms, stationery, welfare items, employee bulletin, in-house clinic, TASKA, staff accommodation, and cafeteria).
Policy & Compliance
Maintain and update Company handbooks, policies, procedures, and organizational charts to ensure compliance and proper document control.
Provide guidance to Management and employees on HR policies, practices, and employment-related laws.
Ensure compliance with regulatory changes and labour legislation.
Keep abreast of HR trends, best practices, HR technologies, and talent strategies.
Lead HR improvement initiatives and projects, including Lean HR programs, to drive innovation and enhance service delivery.
Provide HR-related advisory support to employees, departments, and Management as required.
Job Requirements
Education Level : Recognized university / Bachelor or Masters in Business Management / Human Resource or any Management related courses.
Work Experience : Minimum of 5 years experience in Human Resource function related field preferably in the manufacturing industry with experience in handling Industrial Relations (IR) matters and dealings with Trade Unions considered an added advantage.
Language Abilities : Must be fluent in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Other Skills, Abilities and Knowledge
Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT for HR-related tasks.
Good knowledge and experience in Malaysian Labor Law and Industry Relations are essential.
Knowledge and experience in Quality System (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001), Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) / Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) standards, or related standards will be an added advantage.
