JOB ROLE
Duties & Responsibilities
Manage relationships with designated key accounts to strengthen partnerships and drive sales growth.
Analyze account sales data and performance metrics to uncover growth opportunities and areas for improvement.
Provide regular sales performance reports and strategic recommendations to the management team.
Conduct regular business reviews with customers to assess sales, identify opportunities, and agree on action plans.
Negotiate trading terms, pricing, and promotional schedules to achieve revenue and profit targets.
Identify and onboard new high-potential accounts or retail channels to expand market reach.
Understand the product assortment and suitability for each account based on customer profiles and store formats.
Recommend product mixes, pricing strategies, and promotion mechanics tailored to each retailer’s needs.
Monitor product performance and adjust assortments or promotional strategies based on sales trends and consumer preferences.
Manage end to end order process for key accounts from receiving purchase orders to fulfilment
Work with Warehouse team to ensure accurate, timely deliveries and resolve any inventory or delivery issues.
Collaborate with Buying Team to monitor inventory turnover and replenishment cycles to optimize stock levels and prevent overstock situations.
Implement efficient order processing, invoicing, and reporting systems to support operational effectiveness.
Partner with buying team to enhance forecasting accuracy and demand planning processes.
COMPETENCIES
Key Account Management : Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with major retail partners. Skilled in account planning, negotiation, and driving business growth through customer collaboration. Demonstrates a customer‑centric mindset and a track record of growing revenue in key accounts.
Analytical & Commercial Insight : Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data, identify trends and gaps, and make data‑driven decisions. Proficient in using Excel and BI tools to forecast demand, track KPIs, and optimize portfolio profitability.
Communication & Collaboration : Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential as this is a client‑facing role that involves liaising with both external customers and internal teams. You should be highly organized and detail‑oriented to ensure order accuracy and to juggle multiple accounts effectively.
Drive & Execution : Self‑motivated and results‑oriented with a proactive work style. Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in B2B sales, account management, or wholesale distribution, preferably within the retail consumer goods sector. Experience in the baby and maternity products category or related industry is a strong plus, as familiarity with the product range and customer base can be beneficial.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for tracking sales data, preparing reports, and analyzing order / fulfillment metrics. Experience using CRM software to manage client accounts and sales pipelines is important for efficiency and organization. Familiarity with sales analysis or inventory management tools will be helpful. Experience with Oracle NetSuite (the ERP system used by Little Humans / Mothercare) is highly advantageous.
Excellent negotiation, presentation and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with data analysis tools is a plus.
