Overview
The Bartender is responsible for the efficient and professional service of food and beverages, while ensuring guests receive optimum service in accordance with Hilton standards, policies and procedures.
What will I be doing?
- Maintain a high customer service focus by approaching your job with the customers always in mind.
- Take personal responsibility and initiative to resolve issues, clearly communicating with both customers and colleagues.
- Contribute ideas to enhance operational procedures in the hotel.
- Actively promote the services and facilities of Hilton hotels to guests and suppliers.
- Perform duties in a manner that ensures your safety and the safety of others.
- Serve beverages and / or food to guests in a friendly, courteous and timely manner to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Prepare beverages for other servers and act as the lounge cashier when needed.
- Confidently know the beverage menu contents and explain them in detail to guests.
- Maintain proper and adequate bar setup daily, including stocking beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments and produce based on daily projections.
- Manage stock, preparation and storage of fresh garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality.
- Greet guests courteously, promote and document drink orders.
- Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes and prudent portion control.
- Check guests for proper identification and monitor for signs of intoxication in line with liquor laws.
- Input orders into the register and create a check for each guest to maintain accountability.
- Handle cash, verify charges, and balance cash drawers.
- Lock up and store all beverage, food and equipment, and secure cash drops as required.
- Complete checklists on product knowledge.
- Know menu items of all outlets to recommend other venues when appropriate.
- Stay informed about opening hours of all restaurants and hotel outlets.
- Recommend other restaurants and city attractions to hotel guests.
- Follow up on guest questions; if unsure, consult a Manager.
- Ensure service procedures meet the required standards and areas are cleaned and maintained per procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for the service experience in your designated area.
- Greet guests as they enter and exit the restaurant, and maintain a positive service focus at all times.
- Display professional behavior and avoid offensive language.
- Report accidents / incidents to the Supervisor / Manager.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned.

What are we looking for?
Senior High School education or specialty in Hospitality.1-2 years in a managerial position in a 4 / 5-star hotel.Good English skills to meet business needs.Motivated and committed, with enthusiasm and willingness to learn to improve performance.Flexible and responsive to changing requirements, including performing tasks as needed.Strong team orientation and cooperation with colleagues.Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcohol.Ability to remember, recite and promote menu items.Open-minded and outgoing personality.Willing to work long hours.Positive attitude.What will it be like to work for Hilton?
