Senior Finance Executive

Job Description

• Reviewing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, cash flow management, and bank reconciliations.
• Full-Spectrum Accounting Oversight on foreign entity : Independently manage end-to-end accounting operations including GL, AP / AR, asset management, and monthly / year-end closing.
• Lead the team to ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings, including the review of journal entries, accruals, and financial schedules.
• Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with other departments (HR, operations, procurement) to drive business performance and financial discipline.
• Monitor forecasting accuracy, develop measurable indicators, highlight trends, and analyze causes of unexpected variances.
• Ensure the timely preparation of financial and management reports, analyze variances and trends, and provide actionable insights to support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Conduct regular internal audits to assess the effectiveness of financial controls and procedures.
• Understand the functionality, interfaces, and interdependencies of the financial processes and systems; ensure the existence of adequate internal controls.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline financial operations, leading automation or system enhancement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to boost efficiency. Take the initiative to propose changes or enhancements to finance processes and structures, presenting well-supported recommendations to the Finance Manager.
• Conduct detailed analysis of finance operations to identify inefficiencies, risks, or control weaknesses, and develop and implement corrective actions or mitigation plans to address these issues while monitoring key operational KPIs to ensure performance and compliance.
• Tax Compliance : Prepare, review and file VAT, Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Personal Income Tax (PIT), and Foreign Contractor Tax (FCT) returns.
• Team Supervision : Manage junior accountants, providing guidance and ensuring timely completion of financial operations tasks. Mentor and lead junior accountants, establish clear performance metrics, conducting appraisal, and create a culture of accountability and learning.
• Assist in other ad hoc finance & accounting related duties as assigned by the manager.
