Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business and software requirements into well-structured technical documentation. This role ensures alignment between business stakeholders and the development team by producing high-quality Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and Software Design Documents (SDD). As a key liaison, this individual contributes to project planning & management, user experience mock-ups, and system validation via User Acceptance Testing (UAT), driving the delivery of REDtone’s innovative software solutions.
Duties and responsibilities
Facilitate requirement-gathering sessions (interviews, workshops, surveys) with internal and external stakeholders. Understand and document business objectives and user needs.
Perform gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments to ensure clarity, consistency, and completeness of business and functional requirements.
Develop high-quality Software Requirements Specifications (SRS) and Software Design Documents (SDD) that align with technical and business expectations.
Act as a liaison to ensure mutual understanding between non-technical stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into system functionality.
Create wireframes, screen mockups, and user flow diagrams to visualize system design and user interactions, ensuring alignment with stakeholder expectations.
Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning & management, stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming to maintain project momentum and clarity.
Design UAT test cases, plan and coordinate execution with business users, log defects, and ensure final product meets acceptance criteria.
Enforce adherence to documentation standards, project governance frameworks, and software quality benchmarks.
Identify opportunities to improve analysis processes, tools, and templates, and implement best practices across the business analysis function.
Qualifications and requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM) preferred.
