Manager, Business Development (In-Store Services)

Reports to Head of In-Store Services. The Manager will focus on exploring, proposing, and introducing new potential services (In-Store & Digital) to optimize the potential for this Destination Category continuously.

Manage a team to achieve the Category objective.

Responsibilities

  • Understand market trends, consumer preferences, & new services suitable for retail customers.
  • Lead exploration, research & analysis of potential & viability of new services & products, evaluate benefits and impacts across service centers.
  • Solicit prospective vendors for new in-store offerings such as financial services, e-commerce, digital services.
  • Own end-to-end P&L, growth, and continuous customer experience improvement of new services implementation.
  • Propose & develop implementation plans for roll-out & deployment of new products & services including SOP.
  • Continuously analyze and update insights from internal & external customers to keep services relevant and competitive.
  • Negotiate optimal commercial terms for product / services proposed by partners.
  • Responsibility for sales & inventory management (including reconciliation) of services and products.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Computer Studies, Economics or equivalent.
  • At least 7 years of related experience, preferably in Fintech, Technology, Retail, or Financial Services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 & project management tools.
  • Project management experience an advantage.
  • Proficient in English & Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical skills, market knowledge, business acumen.
  • Self‑motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Result‑oriented, strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Independent, aggressive, outgoing, good public relations, pleasant personality.
