The Head, Portfolio Management is responsible for managing the groupwide portfolio of clean energy projects and investments across Renewables, Hydrogen, and Green Mobility. The role ensures capital is allocated effectively, project risks are managed, and the portfolio delivers sustainable returns aligned with the company’s strategic objectives. This position plays a critical role in balancing strategic priorities, financial performance, and execution risk, while serving as a key interface between the business verticals, finance, strategy, and the leadership team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the Gentari Investment & Allocation Framework (GIAF) to prioritize projects by strategic fit, returns, risk, and sustainability;
- Lead annual and ongoing portfolio planning, integrating business unit inputs and providing scenario analyses for growth and investment strategies;
- Recommend and manage capital allocation across projects, verticals, and geographies, working closely with Finance and supporting teams in applying portfolio logic;
- Collaborate cross-functionally to align capital plans with delivery schedules and organizational objectives, including active participation in Board and C-Suite forums.
- Monitor and report on portfolio health, including returns, milestones, and risk exposures;
- Develop portfolio reviews and retrospectives for management and Board;
- Identify and address portfolio-wide risks, recommending mitigation actions;
- Oversee performance dashboards and reporting for leadership at Group and Business levels.
Enterprise & Business OKR
Develop enterprise and business level OKR to align with short- and medium-term objectives and targets.Operationalize and embed active portfolio management processes across Gentari;Lead periodic refresh and scenario modeling to guide strategic prioritization;Ensure investment pipeline is aligned with enterprise value creation goals.Investment Evaluation & Management
Provide portfolio perspectives and lead analysis of trade-offs, returns, and strategic fit for major initiatives in investment decision-making forums;Conduct investment retrospectives and lessons-learned reviews;Manage the Investment Committee (IC), ensuring projects follow governance and approval thresholds;Establish portfolio reporting standards for consistent and comparable data across business verticals.Partner with business vertical leaders to align project pipelines with group strategy;Provide insights and perspectives at leadership forums prior to investment committee review.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, or BusinessAt least 10 years of relevant experience, ideally in energy, infrastructure, renewables, or clean technology. Prior exposure to green hydrogen, renewables, or charging infrastructure is an advantage;Proven track record in managing business and / or multi-asset portfolios, capital allocation, and portfolio optimization;Strong skills in financial modelling, scenario analysis, and discounted cash flow models;Familiarity with project finance, PPAs, energy regulatory frameworks, and portfolio risk management tools;Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills;Excellent communicator, able to present complex portfolio insights to executive leadership;Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional, multi-geography teams.Seniority level
