Overview

Manage and oversee the end-to-end employment cycle for the Group’s employees and contract workers.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze the annual manpower plan and training needs analysis for the Group and each subsidiary.
  • Serve as the key liaison for handling worker grievances, disciplinary matters, and union negotiations (if applicable).
  • Foster positive employee relations to minimize turnover and disputes.
  • Implement performance evaluation systems and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for both operational and professional employees.
  • Identify training needs and coordinate skill development initiatives.
  • Provide support and consultation to management, Heads of Business Units, and subsidiary HR teams on strategic staffing, compensation and benefits, training and development, budgets, and labor-related matters.
  • Monitor compliance with labor laws, foreign worker regulations, and statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, etc.).
  • Oversee payroll administration for both contract of service and contract-for-service employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Propose employee benefits, allowances, medical coverage, and site-specific incentives in line with industry standards.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking to maintain competitiveness within the industry.
  • Develop a Group Human Resource Policy and Employee Handbook in compliance with labor laws.
  • Review and update relevant HR forms.
  • Support management in workforce cost planning and labor optimization.
  • Drive initiatives to improve employee retention, engagement, and productivity.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ HR experience, preferably in manufacturing, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, foreign worker regulations, and HR compliance requirements in Malaysia.
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale workforces and diverse employee groups.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
