Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Project Director located in Kuala Lumpur, with some work from home acceptable. The Project Director will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of AI projects. This includes managing project timelines, coordinating with team members, leading AI research initiatives, setting project goals, and ensuring successful project delivery. The role also involves evaluating project performance, making data-driven decisions, and providing strategic direction for AI development.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the AI Agent project, ensuring alignment with e23’s strategic objectives.
Define the project scope, roadmap, success metrics, and key deliverables.
Oversee all phases of development, testing, and deployment.
Drive continuous improvement and innovation throughout the project lifecycle.

Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders — internal teams, external partners, vendors, and executive management.

Facilitate communication, decision-making, and accountability among technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Prepare and deliver regular updates, presentations, and progress reports to leadership.

Team & Resource Management

Build and manage a multidisciplinary project team, including developers, designers, data specialists, and external collaborators.

Allocate and manage project resources effectively to meet timelines and budget goals.

Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving and contingency planning.

Strategic & Technical Oversight

Collaborate with the technical team to understand architecture, tools, and frameworks used in AI agent development.

Evaluate third-party technologies, APIs, and AI frameworks that could enhance the project.

Stay updated on AI trends, large language models (LLMs), and automation advancements relevant to the product vision.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

7+ years of experience in project or program management, preferably in AI, software development, or tech-driven innovation projects.

Proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.

Strong understanding of AI systems, data workflows, or digital product development lifecycles.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with minimal supervision.

PMP, Agile, or Scrum certification is a plus.
