Overview

Service Desk Analyst – Japanese Speaker at HCLTech, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming IT service requests via phone, email, chat, or in person; documenting and categorizing requests for accurate tracking and resolution.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues (software, hardware, and network); providing clear, concise instructions to users.
  • Escalating complex issues to higher-level support when necessary; maintaining excellent customer service and positive user relationships.
  • Maintaining clear and consistent communication with users throughout issue resolution; providing training and guidance on IT systems and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records in a ticketing system; contributing to the knowledge base with solutions and best practices; ensuring IT documentation is up-to-date.
  • Assisting with software installations, upgrades, and maintenance; managing user accounts and access permissions.
  • Monitoring IT infrastructure to identify potential issues and participating in the organization\'s change management process.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest IT technologies and trends.

Qualifications

  • Technical skills in troubleshooting common IT issues; knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and hardware; experience with IT service management (ITSM) tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; excellent customer service and problem-solving abilities; ability to work independently and in a team; ability to handle stressful situations.
  • Education : Associate\'s or bachelor\'s degree in IT or a related field preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL) beneficial; experience in customer service or IT support often required.
  • Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing in Japanese and English is required.
