Where do you fit in?
The role involves assessing customer risk, setting and approving credit limits, analyzing credit exposure, and managing credit terms and securities for higher-risk accounts. It includes approving risk categories, releasing blocked orders, and escalating approvals beyond authority levels. The position also supports sales teams on credit issues and aids senior credit and risk management personnel as needed.
Role duration
This is a 6-month short term contract role.
Responsibilities
Manage Credit Risk
Responsible for the risk assessment of customers, negotiating and managing security arrangements, establishment of appropriate credit limits with necessary MOA and the analysis of the overall credit exposure. Also, make proactive and reactive calls to update customer master data in system. Responsible for ad hoc task as required. Ensure compliance with Global Downstream Credit policy, OCM standards & SOX controls. Manage security arrangements to ensure timely actions taken to renew or replace expiring security instruments.
Manage Accounts Receivable
Responsible for ensuring that both ‘Proactive’ and ‘Reactive’ credit control takes place and ensuring that customers’ debt is collected in line with contracted payment terms. The authority’s decision would also need to be executed and documented by this role. Recognize financial risk situations in Trade Receivable Accounts. Exercise manual blocking of orders on high financial risk and seriously delinquent accounts. Recommend A / R provisions for bad debt.

Have the ability to discuss issues concerning credit issue whilst still trying to maintain relationship wherever possible. The ability to negotiate effectively is a key requirement together with strong, but firm interpersonal skills.
Maximizing commercial opportunities where credit can play a part in delivering strong margins whilst taking acceptable credit risks. Risk vs Reward. This will require creating good working relationships with the local Sales Teams, and strong levels of commercial knowledge across all lines of business.
