PROJECT Construction Manager for the PROJECT Construction activities;
Provides support and advice to the PROJECT Management team and CONTRACTORs for site activities and Project execution topics in general;
Manages the PROJECT Site team(s) including resources from Owner’s Engineer and ensures that they work in total synergy;
In collaboration with Project Management Team, Responsible for the development and implementation of PROJECT Management Plans;
Participates actively to the personnel safety, construction integrity and respect of the environment and promotes HSE awareness at all level through exemplary and pro‑active attitude with PROJECT and CONTRACTOR teams.
Qualifications / Experience required
- 12 years in energy industry and construction sector(s) as Site Management and / or Construction Management professional, preferably 5 years of which shall have been gained experience in APAC Region and minimum of 6 years of experience in a Site / Construction Manager position overseeing similar scope of work for PV Plant Construction.
- A bachelor’s Degree in any discipline of Engineering.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) OR equivalent certification is preferred.
- EPC background and experience is a plus.
- Project size experience to match the size of the project at hand.
- A minimum of 3 project construction completed in similar role.
- Be knowledgeable on international standards and 'best practice' in relation to construction.
- Be knowledgeable on environmental legislation and good industry practice in relation to construction works.
- Know-how and experience working on previous TNB (Malaysian grid operator) Projects is a plus.
- IT proficiency, in particular, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Projects / Primavera or similar.
- Good English language oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Fluent in Malay Language both oral and writing is a plus, and knowledge of the APAC Area is considered valuable.
- Medical fitness for specific working conditions and environment is a pre‑requisite.
- Team player and able to build and maintain relationships both internal and external stakeholders.
